Don't know whether he used a double, but he did more for us and the Second Amendment than we can ever know. And he went in his sleep after a day of hunting quail in West Texas. May he rest in peace.

I 2nd that sentiment.
He was a good and principled man. He took some social stances that ran counter to some people's wishes, but defended so by asserting his consistency in being an ORIGINALIST. As such, he felt compelled to be so on all issues.
If only the other 8 all felt consistently so compelled...instead of wallowing in their self-assigned authority to 'interpret' application, rather than intent/meaning (*cough...John Roberts...cough*).

I've been told that once one of Napoleon's generals was killed in battle. At his general staff meeting his generals were all lamenting the great loss. Napoleon is said to have brought things into perspective by saying "The graveyards of Paris are full of indispensable men."
Justice Scalia served his causes well and I pray his soul rests in eternal peace now. Another will rise to fill his place...Geo

We have, sad to say, lost the last man who stood up for the true meaning of the 2nd Amendment- with fewer hunters/sportsmen afield, and more senseless violence by the criminally insane or drug deranged turned lose upon us by liberal jurists ill-placed on the Supreme Court, Mr. Justice Scalia cast along shadow upon the liberal lefties he was obliged to work with on the Court. Now we have another political crapfest to work through, and a hell-bent for destruction of the NRA POTUS who still has until Jan 2017 to work woe upon us- God help us all.
