Considering all the handwringing that's been going on about when these guns finally make their appearance and if the wood and checkering are up to snuff, I'm surprised that I haven't seen a report of how they're patterning. There are enough of them out there now, has anybody put one to the patterning board?

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.

I shot my RBL until she was so hot i thought the beavertail would catch fire. I broke birds with a consistancy i havnt previously had. This is after patterning and finding the pattern-when the gun is rifle like sighted and shouldered-is amazingly low. Its got me just pointing the barrels at the clay. Ahhh--this is what they mean in the books!!!! This is all new to me as my other guns have all been American target guns and i assume they are regulated more for using the beads>

Never use the beads. You will acquire a ton of bad habits. Remember all those new shooters that would start out using the beads and shooting with one eye because Grandpa thought it was a good idea. We won't even discuss their poor technique.

I shoot SxS's for everything. I do have one that is so low that it spends most of the time in it's gun case. I just can't make the adjustment. I'm afraid to have it bent for fear of having the stock crack....yes, it happens.

If, when my RBL arrives(it's in shipping) it's too low, I will make the necessary stock adjustments to make it impact where I point.

Have any of you(over 1,000 now)with RBL's had the stock bent? If so, were there problems with the through bolt or the trigger guard tang? We hope that there weren't any cracking issues.
