There are a number of top flight custom riflemakers working today.
First: I would suggest that you NOT buy any wood until you have selected a gunmaker and you and the maker select the wood.
Second: Get a copy of “Custom Rifles in Black and White” by Steven Dodd Hughes and you will get a good idea of the different styles and names of people who do this type of work.
Third: Try to look at and handle as many custom rifles as possible at dealers, tradeshows and gunshows.
