I came across an interesting 16ga boxlock today while visiting the taxidermist I use. He knows I like doubleguns & asked me if I wanted to look at one he is thinking of selling. Obviously I couldn't pass on the opportunity to look at a SxS.

What he brought out rather surprised me by the overall quality of the gun he handed me. I hadn't heard of the manufacturer before but could tell it resembled many Germanic type's of shotguns. I.E Boxlock, greener type cross bolt, bolster shapes etc.

I'm in need of any information I can get on this one. The top rib is inscribed in gold as follows. " Skacel Jos. V. Kromerizi " It has ejectors, a straight grip, DT with rose & scroll engraving and Bohler steel barrels.

Please give me any information you might know about this maker & a guess of what the value might be. I know with out pictures it's impossible to determine the value but an in the ballpark guess might help.

Thanks,
Paul
Bohler or Boehler?
