That really, really helps, very much appreciated. A bit disappointing of course, but very helpful. Thanks for your time and expertise. If I decide to take it apart I will post pics, but you've really given me what I needed. It is a pretty nifty little gun, and a piece of history, I think I will keep it. Kicks like a mule tho, even with birdshot!

The gun has clearly been taken apart at some point, the pins are buggered, the top lever screw is also, and the stock does not look in the best shape. If the gun functions as it should, with a good set of barrels I would say no more than $300. Hate to disappoint, but it's a low end gun to begin and not in great shape to finish. Just my opinion, others may differ.

That gun would probably be a great gun for birds and occasional clays with the right loads. You mentioned that it really kicks. It wasn't meant to shoot standard American 1 1/8 oz. loads. Those loads really kick in light doubles and can damage your stock. Try 1 oz. loads of about 1150 fps. I think Rio and Fiocchi make these at a very reasonable price.
Even lower grade Spanish guns can be good guns.
I'm glad that you are keeping your father's gun.

That is a very good gun. I would never sell it given its heritage and quality.

Monetary value isn't everything. If the gun functions fine and is sound, enjoy it. You will get far more enjoyment out of it as compared to value. Plus it was your father's gun. You might even give consideration to using RST or Polywad low pressure 2 1/2" shells in it.
