Yes, I know CSMC makes a hard sided leather and canvas case, HELL NO, I will NEVER deal with CSMC again. So that puts me in the market for a inexpensive, to middle of the road gun case. I've looked at the cases from Jeffs gun cases, and they look like A decent alternative. What are some of the other options? Btw, I don't want a metal or plastic style case as I already have an airline case for my guns.
Thanks in advance guys

There used to be a lot of nice looking canvas/leather cases on eBay. I assume they were coming from China. It's hard to beat the value of Jeff's cases, especially if you catch a sale. Lots of cases available on GunBroker, usually at high prices.

I have no personal experience with them, but I like the look of Drake's cases. The leg o mutton especially. The traditional case might be more than you're looking to spend, though. here

GT1900, we would like to hear why you won't deal with CSMC but you bought one of his guns. I buy his guns, his cases, and actually sell him a gun occasionally.

The reason I won't deal with them is their service after the purchase! The original gun they sent was a debacle. When it was returned to be fixed, they tried to patch the fix together and not fix it the right way. They finally replaced the gun, but they forgot to send my case with the gun. When I called about the case they forgot to send, they apologized and sent it back to me, However, the inside of the case was destroyed. I sent the case back, and what they sent me was nothing close to the original case. The original case had the makers label, blocks in the barrel channel for 28" barrels, and a block at the buttstock which fit the gun. The wrist strap was also in the proper position. The barrels fit nicely into the case and had no movement side to side. What they returned to me was a case without a makers label, blocks that I was suppose to cut to fit the gun myself, barrel channels with nearly 1/4" gaps on each side of the barrel, allowing the barrel and forend to flop around in the case, and a wrist strap which was too far forward, causing the strap to be located partially over he trigger guard. Luckily, I have pictures of the before and after cases to show them what's wrong. Unluckily, they refuse to fix it. The kicker is that when I s t the case back, they offered to fix the original or replace it with a new case. I was told that replacement would be faster, and since I needed the case, I picked that option. They didn't tell me the case wouldn't fit properly, or I would have had them fix the original case instead. They said they will fix the new case to fit like the original, but I would be charged for it! All I have ever asked is that the replace or fix a case to fit like the original case I received from CSMC, but they refuse to do it.

I bought my case from a classified ad on one of our gun sites, probably the PGCA site. It is wonderful and fits my Inverness exactly. I really don't know where it came from, probably Galazan or Jeff's. It has an off beige outer canvas cover and a beautiful dark green interior. I couldn't be happier.

For anyone so inclined, there is a nice Inverness 20 gauge for sale at Jaqua's.

Eightbore. Tried to send you a PM. Any chance you could post a picture of the gun in the case?

This is what I use for my Inverness: http://www.jeffsoutfitters.com/C_LCAS105...p;categoryid=71It's my understanding that Jeff's Outfitters makes their cases here in the USA. This one is about $200. It works very well for me.

If I posted a picture of my Inverness in its case, Dave would have to hire a team of experts to restart the website. Sorry. I will take the Inverness to the Southern for those who want to see it. It is more than most people can handle.
