This must be a fairly obscure book because I can only find about 5 or 6 copies for sale in the U.S. and U.K. It appears there was only one edition and two printings (1944 and 1949)by the same publisher, Standard Publications. You could check the listings on these sites and contact the sellers to ask if the edition they have is printed on thin translucent paper. The copy listed on E-bay is a 1944 edition, and you can see that the pages are glossy and thin enough to see the print on the back side of the page. Sorry to hear you've been ill.
