Researcher is correct, as the author of the article "New Notes on Frank Hollenbeck" by H.J. Swinney and published in the Gun Report in September, 1991 did indeed state that some of the dates in the brief Hollenbeck biography referenced above were obviously incorrect. Swinney's article basically pieces the various events of Hollenbeck's life together; and although he was unable to discover some exact event dates (for instance, more than one birthday is listed for Hollenbeck), was able to put together a very accurate overall trail using surviving family records, various period census information, and various city records. If you don't have a copy of Swinney's work, it would be wise to locate that Gun Report issue; as his work respresents the best source of information on Hollenbeck I have seen to date (and it is almost exclusively about the life of Hollenbeck, his gun activities are only noted as they relate to events in his life).
