So COULD I convert my VH Parker to VHE? I shoot sometimes 200 shells on sporting clays and would like to have shells eject.Guns has replaced stock and barrels trimmed to 28" so not original.Gun fits me well and don't want to buy a VHE.

In theory it could be done but, parts alone even if they could be found, likely to cost more than buying a ejector Parker. Big issue could you buy ejector parts. Probably have to buy a donor ejector gun.

I sure wouldn't try it. Even VHEs built as VHEs are (notoriously?) finicky in terms of retaining timing, ejector rods cracking, knuckle wear, etc. VHEs in 12 ga. are common. Just buy one that is functioning properly.

FWIW-- about 8 years ago, I bought a GH no 2 frame receiver that had been converted to a VHE, by a gunsmith in Minn- Lord knows when. So, as a project, I worked with my friend and Master Gunmaker- Brad Bachelder in nearby GR- and we built a "shooter" with a VHE stock and ejector forearm he found, and a set of 28" VHE No. 2 frame barrels--Wrote a story about this, which was publish in the Parker Pages- I used it at the Sagola SC shoot in June 2010- still have it. But you are right about finicky timing of the ejectors on the early Parkers- not so sure about the later Remington-Ilion mfg. guns, or, for that matter, the Jap made Repros-- But I asked Brad the same question back then that you have posed, and he told me that he really took a bath on quoting and then doing this for a client- I concur with the others here, find a VHE skeet gun, all you would need for SC-- Good luck..

The Brothers P were rather late in adding ejectors to their offerings, and King's ejector train is rather complicated and finicky as noted above. When they were first offering ejectors they wouldn't retrofit, but eventually they would. Several firms back in the day offered after-market ejectors for Parker Bros. guns, most notably Moran & Wolfersperger in Chicago and later Gus Habich in Indianapolis. After Moran & Wolfersperger broke up, Gus Habich took over doing the ejector conversions and Mathew Moran went to work with F.P. Stannard. I believe the gent on the left has done the ejector conversions on Parker guns --

The last gun I sent to Larry Del Grego and Son for an ejector conversion waa in 1972. By that time, they were tired of drilling holes in hard receivers and giving up ejector parts and forends to these projects. They talked me out if it. I seem to remember Larry Sr. or Babe telling me that they had lost a receiver or two to bad drilling. I don't know whether Babe or Lawrence will confirm that or not.

I seem to recall that Pachmayr converted a Parker for use by the family. I don't know if they had their own ejector system or used someone else's.

looks like a Deeley box type of system shown above and the work looks to be of excellent quality. Most likely worked as well or better than the system developed by Parker.

I don't think there is much of a mystery here. It is the Moran and Wolfsburger ejector system exhibited on a gun owned by the Fox with the Runs person. He may choose to confirm that fact or go on some other rant. Notice I didn't describe it as an insane rant. We are looking for information here.

No doubt the introduction of Flurry events to SxS Tournaments has created interest in working ejector guns. Taking down a pair of my Parker's VH & VHE.
All the forend Metal outside is different and by default the inletting and of course no ejector parts. On the action the VHE has cocking rods for the ejectors VH Does no, parts to actuate the cocking rods inside would have to be added the VH. On the Barrels, the Dolls head is cut different underneath one to the other. Ejector/Extractor rods are different VH to VHE.
Lot of work would need to be done.
