Francis, yes, those are my wife and daughter and thanks for the compliments. (You, too, Stan) As I noted in my first post, I also consider Islands in the Stream my favorite. Our daughter worked for the French Ministry of Education the week we were with her in Paris. She is fluent in French and taught English to high school age students in Bourges. Her ability to communicate with the locals made our visit all the more special as her smile and command of the language opened many doors for us. When folks would ask where we lived, she would tell them the city where Forrest Gump was filmed. "Ah, Forrest Gump. Oui!" they would exclaim while politely smiling.
