Steve: my action is all together,100% complete. Rodney Storie supplied. I await the the barrel. I was worried about a pattern for the wood, but looks like that is taken care of. Rodney sent pictures of one that has been finished as a stalker. I have the pictures and it looks to fit my wants to a "T". I've got a nice piece of french from DON CANTWELL that has been seasoning here in the shop for about six years, so I think I have it pretty well covered.
I changed my mind and was going for a .225 WINCHESTER chambering. I know it surprise Rodney when he asked me about the chambering as everybody who knows me, knows I'm a .375 H&H nut. I'm sure he just knew I would go for the .375 flanged as you have done.
I have more than a few .375's. I wanted something for Caribou and thought the .225 WINCHESTER would be great. I then thought, what the heck those caribou don't care what they get shot with. I ask Rodney what he like the best in the old chamberings and that's when it changed to the .40-70SS.
I hope your build goes well, and sure look forward to seeing your finished rifle pictures.
