8bore & BIG AL, no it is a 25-20 Win., the 25-20SS is a thinner, but longer cartridge. I'm a thinking' the neck has been trimmed to shorten the OAL. Let's just pray it's not one of those COMMY pinko metrics.

They wouldn't do that to a kindly owd Dan'l Fraser! It is an ex-250 to 25-20(of some sort). The story was, the ol'boy wanted a roe stalker, as he lost his taste for rookpie.

I with you Al. I don't do rifles with Chinese numbers. To ease the long suffering Jakearoo, my current project is a Fox AE 16 ga. that has been seriously upgraded by Mr. Doug Mann, soon to be stocked and sent down south for Mr. Hurst to scratch on. Glenn
There is no sacrifice too great for someone else to make.

I see the problem from here. "The Ol'boy had the same problem as I have. I never could figure if they ment rabbit or crow with that rook name?
Crowpie? I think I'll pass!

Toothsome fare BIG AL! For rook stew. You just need a large iron stew pot and some root-cellar fixin's. Hard apple cider, and crusty bread to top it off.
