Strange how things differ from one part of the country to another.

Turkeys around here are considered by most to be a dirty pest, polluting hay bales and feed bunks. The state lets you shoot them spring and fall and more are killed by deer hunters than turkey hunters.

Pheasants are held in high esteem, though.

OT Again..Mr. Joe Wood just called and is bringing a big Brisket, Beans, salad and Bisquits..We'll have to put up with you guys all winter just to get the food et..

...or we can invite the town over.

You've got what, 7-8 dogs between you, just throw it out in the yard and it'll be gone lickety split..........no worries, they like brisket/beans/pork/bisquits etc.......and beer....even California wine, some of them are wino's......

Don't laugh about dogs and alcohol Doug. Years ago I had a German Shepherd that liked 100 proof Old Crow. Everytime we would have a thunderstorm he would walk to the liquor cabinet and ask, in dog talk, for his nerve calming snifter.

Any man who hunts pheasants with a GSP, a double and has the good taste to wear a Stormy Kromer cap- can't be all bad!!

Yah, Vell, me and Stormy go vay back....This Bird Season when my boys were out, I kicked his brand new Stormy under the couch hwen he wasnt looking..He couldnt find it when he left..So now I have 4..Thanks Francis..
