The straight-gripped version of the Fox-Sterlingworth that Savage offered from 1935 to 1940, known as the Fox-Sterlingworth Skeet & Upland Game Gun, normally used a straightened version of the regular trigger guard.

The earliest 12-gauge Fox-Sterlingworth S&UGGs, in the 1306xx serial number range, used the long back-strap trigger guards as found on straight-gripped graded guns. To date, I haven't recorded such a use on a smallbore Fox-Sterlingworth S&UGG.
