Sixteen gauge in Italian side-by side will be little challenging to find. Another good option would be made for Charles Daly Beretta BL series. I think those were marketed under "Empire" name not to be confused with legendary knockabout guns from W.W. Greener of Birmingham England. The Beretta 'Empire' was very solid proposition, but little heavier than typical Vinczenzo Bernardelli game gun.

V. Bernardelli 16's are out there, but not all that common. Re the Beretta-made Daly Empire guns, the Blue Book says they were made in 16, but I cannot recall ever having seen one.
You might check with the 16ga Society guys. Someone may have one they're willing to part with, or know where you can find one.

Hello,Gunscrew, I have a V Bernardelli 16 gauge I could part with. Straight stock. Been in the safe for awhile. If you're interested, I'll get it out and all the specifics.

The Beretta Daly Empire 16ga must be rare. In years of looking at doubles I have actually held only one.
