Parts 2 & 3 will be a discussion of a barrel rupture with the first (to my knowledge) published photomicrographs of a pattern welded barrel.
4 & 5 will discuss the Birmingham Proof House Trial Report of 1891 and tensile testing of Crolle, Damascus-twist, Twist and several early 1900s new fangled steel barrels, including Armor steel.
