Don't know about the second shooting, but the report I read about the incident in Louisiana was that the police had been dispatched to this location because it had been reported this guy had just threatened someone there with his gun; and although the courts/Department of Justice will determine if the cops involved should be punished, the reason the guy got shot was because he failed to comply with the instructions of those officers and resisted arrest. If events go as usual, race hustlers Al S. and Jesse J. will be there to get their TV face time leading protests, rabble rousers will loot and burn businesses and destroy lives and jobs with no regard for long term consequences to the neighborhood, democrat politicians will show up and take advantage of the tragedy as a means to secure their voting base; while in the end the already existing distrust and hate will intensify and the problem will worsen.
As to police shootings, I heard the FBI statistics for 2015 quoted yesterday (and wish now I could recall the exact numbers); but as I recall there were just 1000 incidents where people died in police shootings (included armed and unarmed victims). Of that total more than 60% were Caucasian, with black and Hispanic both in the low 20%; and the balance Asian and miscellaneous other races. Given that blacks, who make up 20% or less of our nation's population, commit just over 50% of the nation's crime; and whites 20%, these stats seem to show that white criminals are far more likely to wind up on a slab at the morgue. A cop shot and killed an unarmed WHITE man last week in Kalifornia; why didn't that incident make national headlines, and why are whites marching and looting and burning in protest? The simple reason is that whites generally don't riot; so there's no news ratings, or political advantage to be gained. Bottom line here, in my opinion anyway, is that if the second guy wasn't killed with a double barrel (the 1st guy wasn't), I don't see this thread as applicable to this forum.
