Herein lies the problem with a black and white outlook on this debate. (Obvious pun there!) Is it a lie or a matter of an incorrect perception of the situation? I'm not surprised that BLM considers the shooting of blacks by cops to be a result of racism.

As I suggested before, when one is a minority and regularly sees civilian and law enforcement videos depicting the questionable shooting of minorities by law enforcement with little to no consequences or changes in policies resulting in protecting the officers, they succumb to hopelessness and fear. Which makes for a dangerous person.

Now combine with this a lifetime of experience being confronted with racism both institutionalized and individualized. I think it is very easy to become angry and impassioned when when this is what you perceive. So correct the perception and show that police abuse everybody, not just blacks. The onus is on the community as a whole to correct the perception of the BLM folks. At the same time, I would hope that the BLM folks would listen.
