We have seen this happen before. Not long ago a Lefever G grade suffered the same fate on Ebay. I can see both sides on this issue. Not sin to want to sell a gun or parts. Not a sin to want them to stay as they were made. We own these guns because we love them others sell them to us to make money. We have fun with what had been the sellers gun and they have fun with what was our money.

But doesn't anyone see this like a auto junk yard. If a gun junk yard had all the parts that you wanted how much easier would it be to keep our own gun working for many more years. Numerich Arms and a few others use to be fairly good places to find old gun parts. My luck is that every time I try them they do not have the part I need.

The gun must have been fairly well worn if he could not get 750 for a 16 gauge.

Before I bought my current house I looked at dozens of houses in the school district my wife wanted to live in. They went from sub 100K to over one million. Most of the higher priced homes were new houses built after a smaller, older house had been torn down. They had to put expensive home back to justify the project and to make any money. In fact I bought one house that had extensive termite damage. Paid $75,000.00 for a house that was a disaster. Tore it down for $28,000 including removal of all debris and sold the lot for over 300K in a three week period. The new house someone else built on it cost just over 950K when built. Tear downs are nothing new and sometimes are the only way to get the house you or your wife wants in a place you want to live.
