I disagree it is possible for a democrat to believe in the same second amendment I do and further 100% oppose guns bans and be a life member of the NRA, just as there are republicans who believe the opposite.

That said, they are an inconsequential minority in their party.

I cannot find anything to disagree with in your above post, JamesM. The only statement I might question is that all who are Dems that say they are supporting the 2nd Amendment are lying. I will keep the possibility open that some are simply so blinded that they really cannot see the truth. They ARE, however, wrong.

This statement is ridiculous. You absolutely cannot support and defend extreme anti-gun politicians like Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton and claim to be pro-gun or pro-2nd Amendment. That is no different than an Abortion Doctor claiming to be pro-life.

Well, I guess you could make such a claim, but it would be totally dishonest. I have quit making excuses for those who stab us in the back by supporting anti-gunners. They are traitors of the lowest order.

What I tell my friends is I like guns because I was brought up around them being used for hunting and sport shooting. They understand me perfectly. I accumulate guns and stuffed toys same as they accumulate paintings, stamps, coins,....
