I don't think the analogy of tearing down an old house is valid here. Old houses can and do become functionally obsolete and also can get to an unrepairable state as the termite infested example cited above. As near as I know; this shotgun was complete and in sound condition and was parted out just for the money aspect. I have no problem with someone parting out an incomplete firearm or one that can't be legally sold any other way(EX: AK47s). Anyway that's how I see it. BTW: I hope the two new "parts" owners reach an agreement and get it back together.
