This here rolling block side-lever conversion has been taking up too much of my time. Its actually a inline .50 cal muzzle loader that I'm hopefully of taking an Elk with this year in CO. Axtel sights, spirit globe up front, tang hunter in the rear, tapered octagon barrel. I took about .012" off each side with the mill to remove pitting, reamed the action and turned new pins, converted it to side-lever, reshaped the hammer, drilled a 7/16" hole to lighten the hammer, added an over stop for the trigger and other stuff I cant think off right now. the trigger pull is a crisp 1&3/4lbs. An antique marbles folding leaf will grace the barrel. The action should head out to John Gillet for colors and charcoal blue this week. I stocked it and there is no finish on in the photos, just solarlux american walnut stain.
