I would much prefer the Remington. The only one I own right now is a very good 1889. It is as solid a hammer gun as I have ever seen for it's age. They're built very strong, and handle pretty good, but I can't go as far as Paul, in saying I prefer a Remington over a Fox "Filly". They lack the beauty, grace and handling of an early Fox, IMO. But, I much prefer the Remmie to a Crescent.
