Stan congratulation on your grandsons. Money can not buy such fine memories. My middle son and I went today to a farm in northern KY. Before the Dove shoot we stopped by Elk Creek Sporting Clays and shot a hundred Sporting Clays on their woods course followed by fifty on their pro course with our 28's. My son David smoked me on both courses with his 28 Ruger against my Ithaca 37. I love the 37 in 28 but my thumbs and fingers are too large to load it easily. I see why they have never made a .410 version because I could never load it with fat fingers. smile

After the clay target warm up we went to shoot doves about thirty miles east of there. The birds were steady singles or pairs, mostly high fliers where we were setup. Rolling hills with hedge rows make for some fun birds. If we used a mod or full choke they came down when hit well and it was a great shoot. We killed and retrieved 30 birds with less than two shells per bird average. One of my better days in birds per shells this year.
