I got into a Donneybrook with another dealer a few years ago, who had a 1911 12 gauge Pigeon Grade for sale- Ejectors, straight hand grip and HOT-- he described it as being 100% original as to 1911- but the splinter forearm did NOT have the banjo shaped metal escutcheon, instead it had the post 1931 rectangular escutcheon shaped, just as on my 1932 12 gauge Eagle Grade Smith-

he told me I was "Full of Shit and didn't know anything about L.C. Smiths at all- so, I don't bother with his BS ads and flawed descriptions anymore..
