The trigger with the rocker is probably worth more than you are going to pay for the gun. Don't put much faith in a gun store's choke measurements. Your barrels are probably fine and original.

As long as it shoots to minute of rabbit or squirrel, I will be pleased.

Update - Finally got the gun out for an informal clay shoot today.
The trigger requires two pulls to get the gun to fire. Despite that, I still managed to break more clays than I missed.
The Miller is supposed to be quite reliable, I've heard.
Any recommendations on someone within driving distance of Central VA to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

"This gun was inherited by a friend of a coworker and his wife does not want it in the house."

I have mixed feelings whenever I hear this:
On one hand, I and I expect others, have acquired nice guns due to this attitude.
On the other hand, and NOT knowing the circumstances in this case I find this attitude troubling. I don't want to steal this guys thread and perhaps we ought to start a new one discussing how frequent this type of attitude is today?
I have my own theories and I expect other here have theirs as well.

I would submit to you the trigger is just fine, perhaps smile

You have to pull the trigger twice to get the gun to fire,

I would bet it is set for the left barrel to fire first.
If so, set it to fire the right barrel first, quite easy.

Let us know if you need assistance.

I tried it with the rocker switch set both to the left and the right. Out of ten trigger pulls with live rounds on board, only one took one pull to fire.

+1 for Skeettx. I can be at your door with cash in hand within a day--save you some worry!
The selector in front of the trigger is a after market Miller installation. If you want to have the gun serviced, take it to Gunter Pfrommer, Rocky Mount in your state. A good strip and clean is in order anyway.

I have looked at both 20ga NID and 20ga Ithaca-Sakaba 25" "Quail Special". I came to conclusion that Japanese gun was better. I would flip US-made gun and buy SKB instead. You will have very nice handling gun and shot will ring out every time you pull that SST.
