Holy Grail indeed. I had a 35 Remington Midel 70 in near mint condition which a fellow collector just about died when I handed it to him. Well I did tell him "it was a almost a shame to have to use such a nice gun for a custom rifle upgrade". I think I told him I was going to restock it in screwbean Mesquite with a 35 Whelen barrel and a fancy Scope. Just trying to get a rise out of him. It did. He'd been looking for that exact rifle for almost 20 years. Told him truth was that it was not for sale but he'd get first refusal. He was a great friend. He did end up buying it shortly after that but did not get to enjoy it too long. Cancer took him less than two years later. I wonder who ended up with that .35?
