[quote=Last Dollar
Now Jagermeister is trying to tell us that he has two Ithaca model 37's after he previously admitted to owning owning only one late model short barreled Ithaca pump with a 3" chamber and choke tubes. If falsehoods were currency, he wouldn't have to rent cheap guns and pretend to own others. I know it's common on the internet, but damn... these guys don't quit even when they get busted multiple times. Yes, the made in Ohio Turkeyslayer with 24" barrel has 3" chamber and takes Ithaca Plus Briley chokes, but Browning Invector Plus chokes (also made by Briley) will fit. It is the best pump gun I have ever owned or used.

Now I see that lyin Keithtard is trying to make people think that was my quote... Would you care to show us which quote it is that you are now claiming I mis-attributed to you? Or will you side-step that one as well? By the way, don't call me a liar you senile old turd. The thread you denied starting was entitled "Banned!" You started it on 1/9/13 at 6:26 PM. It was your post #308332. Here's a little something for your high blood pressure:

Hopefully back to guns. I looked at this model 37 with 2 3/4 and 3" chambers and was a bit unsure of its value. It is a wild turkey federation gun from the year 2000. It has one screw in choke (modified) that threw me a bit since I have not seen choke tubes in a 37 in the past. I cannot quite recall but the barrel address was New York I think. 26" 12 gauge and felt heavy for a 37. If you can help: What would you pay for it? Do you think it came with choke tubes from the factory? If so, where would I get more of them? Pics to follow and thanks in advance to those who stick to the topic of guns.

Around here there is no better value for the money than second-hand Ithaca 37. Two guns were examined at LGS about month ago:
1. Ca. 1955 "Pre-Supreme Grade" with fancy checkered stock and 30" Full barrel solid rib. It was rare variant produced in low numbers for few years in the 1950s. Excellent original condition $599.
2. More recently 200th anniversary of USA model ca. 1976. Excellent original condition $559.
There was no going wrong with either of those guns. These were far, far better values than typical Model 12 in top shape.

The one from mid-80s from Ithaca NY took WinChoke/Browning Inv type current ones will take Inv. Plus chokes. You will have to look at thread pitch and try a few to find out. Ithaca 37 with 3" chamber, VR and choke tube system is worth a premium over old 2&3/4" fix choke ones. Something like that would set you back about $600 to $700 around here, but this is Wingmaster/1100 country. Different areas have different pricing schemes.

I agree that DU and wild Turkey guns do not carry a premium. On the other hand the wood is nicer, the pad is nicer and the receiver is a disadvantage in the woods but may create some conversation at the range. The choke tubes are a plus and it appears to be factory. The owner thought it might be Mossberg chokes. The threads are very fine. Maybe a call to the manufacturer might be in order. The gun appears to be unfired but no box or other choke tubes. The weight bothers me. The wood seems to be really dense.
