My longtime shooting bud mirrors the malady you had with flinching. He may flinch multiple times on one shot and then break the bird at some ridiculous distance or position. He's run the gamut on cures from release triggers to you name it. His MX 2000 has the best trigger I've ever tried, But he still hasn't found a cure. I guess I'll sneak some Roman Candles into his pouch and see if that helps. smile
As you stated, I'm dead sure his problem is not recoil related.
