Me too! I like hunting with a friend but a hunt with just the dogs is a real pleasure too. This is from last week. I was by myself. Jazzy is too modest to pose for pictures so my gloved hand is holding her collar while I snap the picture.

My son and daughter-in-law (she is pregnant with our first grandchild) are driving in from Kansas City for Thanksgiving. I am taking my son and his also-moved-from-Amarillo friend quail hunting Friday. I look forward to this holiday.

I'm taking my shooting student, Joe Wood, on a bird hunt tomorrow. We will go in my truck, burn my gas, run my dogs, kill my birds, but I am grateful that Joe will bring a ham and cheese sandwich for my lunch.

I am grateful that my family is healthy and happy, that the quail are plentiful, and that my dogs are all competent hunters.

Best Wishes,

Mike

I am glad to be here.
