I thought I had made my point Keith, but apparently not. So what DO you think about calling someone a Libtard? How would you feel if you had a special needs brother, son or grandson?

Never the less, thanks Doc Drew for the topic. There are things I am more thankful for, but some of my most appreciated hunts are alone with a loyal pup. Me too! I like hunting with a friend but a hunt with just the dogs is a real pleasure too. This is from last week. I was by myself. Jazzy is too modest to pose for pictures so my gloved hand is holding her collar while I snap the picture. My son and daughter-in-law (she is pregnant with our first grandchild) are driving in from Kansas City for Thanksgiving. I am taking my son and his also-moved-from-Amarillo friend quail hunting Friday. I look forward to this holiday. I'm taking my shooting student, Joe Wood, on a bird hunt tomorrow. We will go in my truck, burn my gas, run my dogs, kill my birds, but I am grateful that Joe will bring a ham and cheese sandwich for my lunch. I am grateful that my family is healthy and happy, that the quail are plentiful, and that my dogs are all competent hunters. Best Wishes, Mike
I am glad to be here.

I thought I had made my point Keith, but apparently not. So what DO you think about calling someone a Libtard? How would you feel if you had a special needs brother, son or grandson? Wow, that's easy. I'd feel that someone who was born mentally deficient would be justified because of their unfortunate congenital condition if they blindly supported anti-2nd Amendment politicians, or thought things such as doubling of the national debt to $19 1/2 trillion in 8 years and passing that debt on to our children and grandchildren was "cerebral and eloquent". I would also say that they probably shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a gun without strict adult supervision. Shall I go on? But when that kind of abject stupidity comes from those who pretend to be gun guys on a shotgun forum, I just call a spade a spade, and reproduce their anti-gun rhetoric so everyone knows where they are coming from. And I simply do not accept the silly idea that we should embrace those who stab us in the back by helping anti-gun politicians keep their perpetual attack on my Constitutional 2nd Amendment Right alive and well. I notice you seem to have a real problem with the term "Fudds" too. Are you telling us your sensitivity to the term "Fudds" is because you have a brother, son, or grandson who is locked in a perpetual hunt, attempting to shoot Bugs Bunny? Would you prefer terms like "Ostriches", or "Neville Chamberlain's" for those who sling their own derisive name calling? Or do you just wish to provide cover to Trojan Horses who undermine our right to keep and bear arms? And I still notice how selective your feigned indignation is. I suppose quoting Scripture to somehow justify your own hypocrisy isn't "bringing reproach to the name of Jesus Christ." But that's not for me to judge, is it? That sort of "katakrino" is reserved for special holier than thou folks like you. So tell us again... why did you remove your signature line... "Personal attacks only reflect the inadequacy of the argument, and the character of the attacker."...after launching your own little personal attack in a decidedly off-topic thread that had nothing to do with dogs or doubleguns? And why did you feel the need to frame it in a drama laced imminent mission of mercy to remote and dangerous mountainous regions of Guatemala, and then remain right here, logging in and checking threads and making posts? It looks a bit like a cat trying to cover up crap on a marble floor at this point. I've made my point once again. But you are welcome to keep doing your hermeneutics in order to prove to all of us that behavior that is wrong for Jim, Dave K., or me is somehow acceptable and proper for you and your select group of... what????... how about Deplorables? That seems to be politically correct these days.

Indeed. You certainly made your point. And it appears that your point is that selective indignation, selective civility, and hypocrisy are behaviors that are to be admired and revered. It's become apparent that you have no intention of answering my clear and concise questions, so I guess we'll agree to disagree. Carry on Drew. Oh, wait... one more quick question while we're on the subject of dogs... If Wonko's dog bites him, would that be considered a form of coprophagia?

Keith, I wouldn't have joined this dispute if you hadn't named me in your diatribe. That Drew would eventually make a critical remark about you is scarcely surprising since you've gone out of your way to denigrate everyone here who doesn't agree with you to the nth degree. Your abusive language may give you some sick satisfaction, but it does nothing to convince those who may doubt the wisdom of the 2nd amendment that gun rights are a good idea. To the extent that you speak for gun owners, we sound like people to be feared, not supported.

I have been trying to make that point for a long time..Keith destroys his own arguments and credibility by the vile way he presents them and his rudeness. Shame...I think its a good thing that his audience here is so small...

"Love is an act of endless forgiveness, a tender look that becomes a habit." Peter Ustinov.
How many times I have seen that from my Dogs. The time that in a rage I threw a piece of firewood at Widget & hit her above the eye, cutting her open. You would think that she would run off; But no, she came & sat at my side looking at me with sorrow in her eyes. My Wife cried at the anger, cruelty, hurt, sorrow & forgiveness. My anger left me & sorrow & repentance replaced it. The two of them forgave me, again, as they had before & would in the future. They loved me, for all & as little that I am.
You could be forgiven for thinking that blocks of firewood had been thrown on this forum. That many are bleeding from the cuts above their eyes, blinded it seems by that flow. It was only a word from an imperfect man, as we all are. Steeped in our faults but doing the best we can with what we know. Can we find in our man hearts the simplicity & freedom from offence that Widget had in hers.
She lives in my dreams these days & we hunt in spirit now, still learning from her as I used to when we hunted in the flesh. O.M
