"Love is an act of endless forgiveness, a tender look that becomes a habit." Peter Ustinov.

How many times I have seen that from my Dogs.
The time that in a rage I threw a piece of firewood at Widget & hit her above the eye, cutting her open.
You would think that she would run off; But no, she came & sat at my side looking at me with sorrow in her eyes.
My Wife cried at the anger, cruelty, hurt, sorrow & forgiveness.
My anger left me & sorrow & repentance replaced it.
The two of them forgave me, again, as they had before & would in the future. They loved me, for all & as little that I am.

You could be forgiven for thinking that blocks of firewood had been thrown on this forum. That many are bleeding from the cuts above their eyes, blinded it seems by that flow.
It was only a word from an imperfect man, as we all are. Steeped in our faults but doing the best we can with what we know.
Can we find in our man hearts the simplicity & freedom from offence that Widget had in hers.

She lives in my dreams these days & we hunt in spirit now, still learning from her as I used to when we hunted in the flesh.
