...my Alex Henry .360 BPE...Smoked him! 60 grains of 2F Swiss and a 200gr Hawk bullet did the job quite well. Well done! Regarding the cartridge, is this the 'short' (~2-1/4") or the other, longer case? I assume the latter as I don't think, or perhaps just didn't know, that one could get 60gr in the short case. Lovely rifle by the way.

You are indeed correct, this gun is chambered for the 2&7/16" case.

Great stuff and beautiful rifle. If turkey had a sense of smell like a deer, no one would ever get one!

Steve, I assume that despite the big hole in and out(?) the velocity was slow enough that there was no hydrostatic jellification of the bird preventing its place of honor as a dinner guest tomorrow. Nice looking gun, btw. Gil

about 1650 FPS and my perfectly placed(lucky)shot left the bird in excellent eating condition. Slipped it into the vitals just under the breast leaving it intact.

AKA "Gut shot"
A buddy once shot a hog while we were bow hunting down in Texas. When asked where he hit the critter he said "in front of the rear shoulder". It turned out to be a long trail job.
