OP Little Creek Sidelock Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 660 Likes: 10 Alaska	I have a Francotte sxs possibly a model 14E, that is stamped with the VL and D importer name on the barrels. I know that VL&D preceeded Abercrombie and Fitch, but wonder when the takeover was made. The gun in question has an 84000 serial number which places it somewhere between 1922 and 1926 from serial number tables on this website.
