Thanks guys. I'm pretty stubborn about such, and still believe the wood has never been off the "original" gun. Those little "blisters' as I call them, in the wood finish on the fingers of wood where they meet the action and sideplates, along with the wood-to-metal fit that looks like the wood grew around the action, are something nothing but time can produce. Jmo.

Mr Roberts, I agree with you wholeheartedly and 'time' can produce them only once - just once. Those "blisters" are caused by the sap, still in the wood at the time the stock was originally finished, over time coming to the surface and causing them. Once refinished it will never happen again with that piece of wood...
But, if the owner of the gun says it is refinished, I guess he oughtta know.
And Steve is not the owner of that gun - it is consigned with him.
