That gun is a nice original gun with honest wear, but still high condition. Your observations about the wood finish are completely correct.

I looked through the Parker listings there and I am interested to see that one Parker in particular is being advertised as completely original and minty though it is not. Since I am the one that did the restoration work on it to make the gun right looking as it is today. I guess you can't attach a disclaimer to guns once it leaves you own hands.
