It's the wood finish in this case, Jager. And wood-to-metal fit. If you will go back and compare the two guns in my original post, it's very obvious to a discerning eye. JR

Can we agree that they are way over priced.

Can we agree that they are way over priced. I don't know but shopping at place like that is like buying stock to expand investment portfolio. That is hard to answer w/o knowing customer base $50,000 to one being $500 or $50 to another. I would say average working man would find Steve Barnett and Puglisi Gun Bank overpriced.

I'm in agreement that if one has more money than they have sense then both are under priced.

IMO: Like just about any other collector items the best tend to at least stay even or perhaps continue up in value despite economic conditions. The items that generally suffer in a down economy are the middling to low end examples. For example: I wouldn't have expected to find a bargain priced Parker AHE for sale anywhere in the last few years. Jim

Way beyond reason- except to the uber rich-- a very very minute part of the high end gun buying market today. Kevin's in Thomasville is also a way overpriced seller of vintage double guns, IMO. RWTF

I have missed a gun or two at Barnett's I would have bought at not a lot under his listed price . . . but they're far from the high end of his inventory. I have heard that he will negotiate on prices. I'm sure others who've bought from him can comment.

I am not uber rich, but do buy, sell and trade guns as a hobby. I've sold or traded at least 30 shotguns to Steve over the years and probably got a dozen or so from him. He has good stuff. If you're not happy with the deal he makes it right, always. That means a lot. terc
