I have missed a gun or two at Barnett's I would have bought at not a lot under his listed price . . . but they're far from the high end of his inventory. I have heard that he will negotiate on prices. I'm sure others who've bought from him can comment.
I suspect many if not most of his most expensive listings are consumer consignment pieces. With usual fee being 20% one is looking at at least that in premium for typical gun. Listing guns at higher prices assures future consignments and more traffic in store and on line at his site. The prices on used guns are always negotiable with old saying being "smaller profit is better than no profit at all". The problem is the owner may not go along with the plan.
