Bob and gentlemen, this gun contains another feature that is pretty
rare. The trademark of a stonemasons hammer and what I believe is a use number 419, is that of Henry Parsons, the patentee of chopperlump barrels.These are chopperlump damascus barrels. If you look closely at the picture of the forward lump, the joint can be seen.I would suggest the conical sight is an aftermarket addition
as the makeup of the gun,the early pinfire style fences,non-rebounding locks and early patent extractor,suggest a
date of manufacture closer to 1866-68. JMHO. Terry
