My kid found a pretty low end spring jacket in the bargain cave for $13, that had been priced at $59. The Herters loads were $79.99 a flat.
They were giving away some plastic ammo boxes, you got a clear one if you bought a flat of something. Next to the clear ones were green plastic ones, and I asked the manager if I could pay the difference and take a green one. He told me to take whichever one I wanted, and get it out of there.

He was sick of tripping over them.

Happy New Year, everybody.

Best,

Ted, glad you scored at Cabela's. I just ordered 3 flats of Herters 16's. I'm giving some thought of getting back into 16ga reloading, but that's yet to be determined. My two current 16's will both handle factory 2 3/4" ammo, but I'd rather shoot 3/4 or 7/8 oz reloads at skeet rather than the 1 oz Herters. RST's are great, but if I'm going to do a fair amount of target shooting with 16's, the lighter loads are nice.
