Greetings...
I have an opportunity to purchase for $500 what looks to be a new, made in Italy, 'Empire' 16 ga. side-by-side shotgun. It's owned by a good friend of a very good friend of mine who claims that only one box was run through it.
The 2006 Standard Catalog of FIREARMS values this gun in excellent condition at $1,500 while the Japanese (Miroku) version 'Empire' in excellent condition is valued at $600.
What comments/opinions do you have about this gun functionally, and what should be its proper value? All comments are welcome, and very much appreciated.
