Hi, I have the opportunity to buy a 16ga Bill Hanus Birdgun. I think it was made in the 80's.
It is made by Ugartechea and imported through Texas. It is a nice minty gun. The chokes check out, sk1 and sk2. My concern is the chambers. The barrel flats have the 16-70 stamp. When I check the chamber length though, my Galazan bore gauge reads 3 1/4" chambers. The chambers and bores look factory polished with no tool marks. Did Bill Hanus spec these guns with extended forcing cones or was it done aftermarket ?
