If so, it's absolutely ridiculous. What that says is they don't really care, they just like the perceived rarity and hard-to-get panache factor more than delivering guns to clients. If they have that big a backlog, they need to go hire some more workforce. But they don't. It's Purdey, they move at the same rate they always have, and you can get in line and wait...

They're just so many craftsmen that can do that high level of work. You wait, that's it. Even TVM was up to a year waiting list for one of their muzzleloading rifles and they ain't no James Purdey.
