I have a Merkel 200E that needs a firing pin replaced. Any recommendations on a quality gunsmith for that work?
I see that Merkel-USA offers some service work. I have reached out to them with the same inquiry. Any experience from the forum with their service work?
Not sure about gunsmiths in the North West, but another option would be Merkel USA in Alabama if it is still in operation. They have this "Merkel Service Package" for $149. You might be able to "bundle the service" and save some money. I don't know. It kind of sad when one needs to ship series produced shotgun across country or half across country to have something minor done to the gun.
