I totally realize I have a different outlook on this than many. Personally I am not as concerned about the max pressure as I am the overall ballistics of the load.
In a Flues I would rather shoot a 1 oz load @ 1150 fps with 10K pressure than that 32 gram (1 1/8 oz) @ 1400 fps even if it only had 7K pressure.
I believe I have seen as many Flues' with cracked stocks as I have L C Smiths. Also the small bore Flues in particular has been known to have a cracked frame. In either case I am of the opinion that a heavy Recoiling load is going to be the culprit more so so than the actual max breech pressure. The chamber itself will likely stand up to SAAMI pressures, the rest of the guin likely won't, at least not for regular use over a period of time.
