I have a 1927 Ithaca NID in 12ga 30" F/M barrels that is in excellent original condition....

Been debating about taking it on a duck hunt this year, just for the sake of doing so....

What shells can be purchased today that would be acceptable for this gun? I recently read an article of some guys taking Bo Whoop out for a duck hunt last year, and they used the Kent Tungsten Matrix shells in Bo Whoop. But, Bo Whoop was a Super fox, and I believe chambered for 3" shells.

I have often heard, the NID is on of the strongest SxS actions of it's time, and I don't think that I am too worried about it being able to handle the Kent Matrix, except for concerns with the wood, etc.

Just curious as to what some of you would consider good choices for my shotgun in non-toxic shells....

I have alread shot several high brass pheasant loads from the gun, and it seemed to handle those fine.
