I have a bad left shoulder, shoot right handed. Recoil isn't a real issue, I shoot roman candles (3.5" steel) at quackers. Before I got my dog I mostly duck hunted, so my battery of hunting shotguns is all 12bores - pump, auto, and O/U.

Well, since I got my Pointer Max, a Small Munsterlander Pointer (a versitile breed), I have actually do more upland hunting now than gunning (waterfowl). Problem is that my bad shoulder doesn't really like humping that 7 something pound Weatherby O/U 12GA up hill and down dale, so I'm looking for a 6 something pound upland gun.

Have always like SxS's, just have a hard time getting my fat little face down on most of them - not enough drop in the stock. So..... I'm starting to look for a trim little double. I can use DT's (grew up using dad's 311), but much prefer a SNST. I would like to keep the cost under 1k (I've got my piggy bank set aside for this), but would like to get something that won't drop in value.

I'm looking at the Itaca/SKB guns. Is there any weight diff in the dif models?? Is there any dif in the dif models - 100/200/280, does the letter after the model mean anything, i.e. 280E???

Thanks for your help!!!
