Thanks Bill...appreciate it. I saw this fine old gun on ebay and knew enough about them that I hated to see it get parted out. Fine wood, a little surface rust, and good metal. The previous owner had cut the barrels off for self defense which I was able to obtain seperately. It appears that it's been lying or standing somewhere for who knows how long. It is truley remarkable how tight the action, the barrel fit, the safety is and how tight the forearm snaps on the barrels. The wood to metal fit ain't too shabby either. It will probably never be worth what it is going to cost to restore it but as I mentioned I didn't puchase it as an investment or as a collector, I just hated to see it get parted out. Over the next year or so My dad and I are going to have it restored as best we can to it's former glory...I'll share before and afters when we're finished.
