Dale said these bbls took the color very quickly. Apparently there are many differences in how barrels react. Dale went WAY above and beyond on these. He called me to tell me they were not ringing properly. I talked to Kirk Merrington about giving them a check up and relaying the ribs. Dale shipped them to Kirk, received them back from Kirk and then sent them to me refinished. After all this he only billed me his usual reasonable amount. I received the barrels from him today and will include an extra for all his trouble, even though he never complained.
oh, not to mention all the dings that were fixed.

Kirk M had to relay the ribs before Dale could put the finish on it and the stock will be going to the stock doc shortly to fix a couple hairline cracks and get a general tune-up. I will be leaving the original finish on the receiver. Its a lowly field grade.
