OWD, that is very interesting. Under the main spring, I believe that I can make out the names of Brazier and Stanton along with the words "Joint Patent". I can't find "Brazier" on either of my locks. We know patents were registered initially to Stanton. I wonder if it is possible that the stamp, "Joint Patent," could refer to a post-registration partial assignment of Stanton's patent rights to Brazier. Or perhaps demand outstripped Stanton's ability to produce or retrofit his rebounders and he found it expedient to joint venture with Brazier to meet demand. I don't know of the relationship between the two lockmakers, but it would be most interesting to know more of their business affiliation.
